Eyebrow Reshaping Dundee

Your eyebrows don't suit your face. Maybe they never have. Maybe they did once but years of tweezing, waxing, or just letting them grow have pushed them into a shape that doesn't work anymore. They're too thin from over-plucking. They're too thick and shapeless because you've been afraid to touch them after a bad experience. The arch is in the wrong place. One is higher than the other. They start too close together or too far apart.

You've tried to fix them yourself but every time you tweeze or wax at home, you end up with two different shapes. You take a bit more off one side to match the other, then the other side looks wrong, and the cycle continues until both brows are thinner than you wanted and still not symmetrical.

Eyebrow reshaping is different from a tidy-up. A tidy removes overgrowth. A reshape redesigns the entire brow shape from scratch, based on your face. Radina maps where your brows should start, where they should arch, and where they should end for your specific bone structure, eye position, and face symmetry. Then she shapes to that map. The result is brows that are designed for your face, not a generic template that looks the same on everyone. At Aesthete Beauty in Dundee, eyebrow reshaping is carried out by Radina Ignatova, with over 11 years of experience in brow architecture. Eyebrow Reshaping from £22. Book online any time or call us on 01382 217888.

Radina is really lovely and welcoming, and so skilled in many different services. I have had lash lift and eyebrows, and gel nail infills for a few months, and have been so pleased with results every single time. Highly recommend.

The Difference

What Makes Reshaping Different From a Tidy

A tidy-up (threading or waxing at £18) maintains an existing shape. It cleans up the overgrowth around edges you already have. It assumes the shape is right and just needs the strays removed.

A reshape (£22) starts from the beginning. Radina doesn't assume your current shape is correct. She assesses your face and designs a new shape before removing a single hair.

The mapping process. Before any hair is removed, Radina looks at your face from multiple angles. She identifies your bone structure, the position and spacing of your eyes, your natural brow bone, and where the brow should ideally start, peak, and end relative to your features. She marks or mentally maps these reference points.

Shaping to the map. Using threading or waxing (your choice), Radina removes hair to create the mapped shape. She works slowly and checks symmetry repeatedly. This isn't a quick tidy. It's a deliberate construction of a brow shape that balances your face.

The difference you see. A tidy makes your brows neater. A reshape makes your brows right. The arch lifts your eye. The tail defines your face. The space between your brows opens up your expression. People notice something looks different about you but can't always pinpoint what. It's the brows.

Eyebrow reshaping before and after at Aesthete Beauty Dundee

I booked for the first time a whole facial threading appointment, and I am so glad I found Aesthete. Radina has a light touch. Best experience to date. I would highly recommend Radina.

Aftercare

After Your Reshape

Once you have your new shape, maintaining it is straightforward.

Regular tidy-ups. Book an eyebrow threading or waxing tidy-up (£18) every 3 to 4 weeks. This keeps the new shape clean and defined without needing another full reshape.

Let it grow where Radina tells you to. If she identifies areas where your brow needs to grow back to achieve the ideal shape, resist the urge to tweeze those hairs between appointments. Growing back takes patience but the result is worth it.

Colour if needed. If your reshaped brows would benefit from colour to look fuller or more defined, book Deluxe Eyebrows (£35) which combines shaping with tinting or hybrid dye.

If you've been over-plucking for years, be honest with yourself about the timeline. Brow hair grows slowly. A full growth cycle takes 3 to 4 months, and some follicles that have been tweezed repeatedly over a long period stop producing hair altogether. Radina will tell you what's realistic for your brows. She can design a shape that works with the growth you've got, even if it's patchy. Where gaps remain and hair won't come back, hybrid eyebrow dye (£19) stains the skin underneath the brow to fill in visually. It won't replace the hair but it creates the appearance of density while costing less than microblading and lasting up to two weeks on skin. Most clients are surprised how much better their brows end up looking.

Is It For You?

Is Eyebrow Reshaping Right for You?

Eyebrow reshaping is the right treatment if any of these sound familiar:

  • Your brows have no defined shape and just grow wherever they want
  • You've been over-plucking for years and the shape has gone wrong
  • Your brows are uneven and you can't get them to match no matter what you try at home
  • You want a professional to design a brow shape that suits your specific face
  • You've never had your brows professionally shaped before
  • You want to change your look and your brows need to match
  • Your arch is in the wrong place, too high, too low, or non-existent
  • You want a fresh start for your brows before maintaining with regular tidy-ups

If your brows already have a good shape and just need the overgrowth cleaned up, an Eyebrow Threading or Waxing tidy-up (£18) is all you need. Reshaping is for when the shape itself needs changing.

Always great service! It's a friendly, clean boutique salon. I come here for threading and it's painless and a perfect finish

Your Appointment

What to Expect at Your Eyebrow Reshaping Appointment

All tools and equipment are thoroughly cleaned and hygienically prepared between every client. Fresh towels, sanitised surfaces, and a clean workspace are standard for every appointment.

The treatment takes approximately 20 to 30 minutes, longer than a tidy because the mapping and shaping process is more involved.

First-time clients receive a short digital consultation form by email before their appointment. It covers skin sensitivities, allergies, and any previous reactions. This helps Radina prepare before you sit down, especially if you have concerns about your skin or specific goals for the reshape.

01

Consultation

Radina discusses what you want. Do you prefer a natural, soft shape? A more defined arch? Do you want to grow certain areas back and reshape around the growth? She needs to understand your goal before she maps the shape.

02

Face assessment

She examines your face shape, bone structure, eye spacing, and natural brow growth pattern. Every face is different and the ideal brow shape for a round face is different from an oval face, which is different from a heart-shaped face.

03

Mapping

Radina identifies the three key reference points for each brow: where it should start (aligned with the bridge of the nose), where the arch should peak (aligned with the outer edge of the iris), and where it should end (angled from the nostril through the outer corner of the eye). These points create the framework for your new shape.

04

Shaping

Using threading or waxing (your preference), Radina removes hair outside the mapped shape. She works methodically, checking symmetry between both brows after each pass. The process is slower and more deliberate than a tidy because precision matters more than speed.

05

Refining

Individual hairs are removed with tweezers for final precision. Both brows are checked from multiple angles and distances. A soothing product is applied.

All tools used during reshaping are either single-use or sterilised between clients. Threading uses fresh cotton thread. Waxing spatula dipped once, never double-dipped. Tweezers are cleaned with Vodex antibacterial solution and sterilised. Radina wears gloves throughout.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions About Eyebrow Reshaping in Dundee

Q

How much does eyebrow reshaping cost?

£22. This includes the full mapping and shaping process. Subsequent tidy-ups to maintain the shape are £18 (threading or waxing).

Q

What's the difference between reshaping and a tidy?

A tidy (£18) cleans up overgrowth around an existing shape. A reshape (£22) designs a completely new brow shape based on your face structure before removing hair. Book reshaping when your brows need a new shape, a tidy when the shape is good and just needs maintaining.

Q

How long does reshaping take?

20 to 30 minutes. Longer than a tidy because the mapping and precision shaping takes more time.

Q

Does it hurt?

The same sensation as threading or waxing, depending on which method you choose. Most clients describe it as mild and manageable. Radina applies a calming product afterwards.

Q

How often do I need reshaping?

Once to establish the new shape, then regular tidy-ups every 3 to 4 weeks to maintain it. You might need another reshape if you want to change the shape significantly, but most clients only need the initial reshape and then maintain with tidy-ups.

Q

Can I choose threading or waxing for reshaping?

Yes. Radina will shape your brows with whichever method you prefer. Both give excellent results for reshaping.

Q

What if my brows are very over-plucked?

Radina will assess what's there and work with it. If areas need to grow back before the ideal shape can be achieved, she'll advise which hairs to leave alone and create the best possible shape with what's available now, with a plan to refine once the growth returns.

Q

Can I add colour at the same time?

Yes. Book Deluxe Eyebrows (£35) for reshaping plus tinting or hybrid dye in one appointment.

Q

Can my eyebrows be reshaped if I've over-plucked them for years?

It depends on the follicle damage. Some brow hairs grow back after years of tweezing, some don't. Radina assesses what you've got to work with and designs the best possible shape from the available growth. For visual gaps where hair won't return, hybrid eyebrow dye (£19) stains the skin to create the appearance of fuller brows. Between reshaping and hybrid dye, most clients see a bigger improvement than they expected.

Q

How often do I need a reshape versus a tidy?

One reshape to create the shape, then tidy-ups (£18, threading or waxing) every 3 to 4 weeks to maintain it. You only need another full reshape if you want to change the shape or if you've left it so long that the original shape has grown out completely. Most clients get one reshape then switch to regular tidy-ups from there.
