Both the basic and express manicures include essential cuticle work, nail shaping, buffing, and finishing with cuticle oil.
The express manicure is a quick and essential treatment to keep your nails looking neat and healthy, available from our nail bar centrally-located in Dundee.
The deluxe service takes this further for the ultimate nail pampering and beautifying experience. And for the latest seamless look, we now offer the Russian manicure too.

Stages
The following stages are included in both the basic express and deluxe manicure services.
Cuticles
Our technician will work on your cuticles. As a trained professional, they know when and how to push back your cuticles safely without going too far, keeping them looking neat, tidy and presentable.
Nail Shaping
Properly-shaped nails are an essential component of any good manicure. Whether you choose our basic or our deluxe manicure service, we’ll shape your nails the way you want.
- Almond nails – Longer and more protruding, this is another style for those who like their nails to get a bit of attention!
- Oval nails – An elegant, flattering and graceful style that’s perfectly suited to most women
- Square nails – A classic “strong” look, and often associated with the French manicure style
- Squoval nails (square oval) – Combines the square and oval styles to keep much of the “strength” of square nails, but with more smoothly-rounded corners
- Round nails – The ideal choice for those who prefer shorter nails, but still want to keep them looking good

Buffing
Nail buffing uses a series of nail “buffers” covered in grit to smooth the surface of your nails and to bring them to a shine. Several different buffers will be used, each with finer grit than the last, to smooth off and increase the glossiness of your nails.
Buffing can also help nail varnish adhere to your nails more effectively.
Finishing
Finally, we will finish off your manicure by using cuticle oil to nourish and moisturise both nails and cuticles.

- Nail shaping – Your nails are shaped to your desired style.
- Cuticle care – The cuticles are gently pushed back and trimmed for a clean look.
- Soak – Your hands are soaked in a soothing solution to soften the skin and nails.

What is a Russian manicure?
The Russian manicure is a very precise manicure technique- that uses an e-nail file and which centres around exfoliating and cutting excess skin.
This process gently removes the surrounding skin and cuticles, exfoliates the dead skin around your nails, leaving more room for nail polish application. This results in a finish that appears both seamless and flawless.
(This shouldn’t be confused with the “Russian Almond” nail shape).

Russian manicures are known for their flawless appearance, neat product application, and their clean look and feel. They can extend the longevity of your nail treatment, prevent dry and cracking cuticles and the formation of hang nails.
