Full Face Waxing Dundee

You've got facial hair in more than one place. Upper lip, chin, cheeks, sideburns, jawline. You've been dealing with each area separately. Threading the lip one week, shaving the chin another, hoping nobody notices the peach fuzz on your cheeks in certain lighting. It's multiple problems that need one solution, but booking separate treatments for each area is time-consuming and expensive.

Full face waxing deals with everything in one appointment. Every area of facial hair removed from the root in a single session. Upper lip, chin, cheeks, sideburns, jawline, and neck. One practitioner, one appointment, everything done. No booking three separate treatments across three different weeks. No missing areas because you ran out of time. One visit, smooth skin everywhere.

At Aesthete Beauty in Dundee, full face waxing uses Hive professional wax formulated specifically for sensitive facial skin. The treatment is carried out by Radina Ignatova, a qualified beauty professional with over 11 years of experience. She works systematically across your face so every area is covered thoroughly. Full Face Waxing £48. Book online any time or call us on 01382 217888.

I booked for the first time a whole facial threading appointment, and I am so glad I found Aesthete. Radina has a light touch. Best experience to date. I would highly recommend Radina.

The Treatment

What Full Face Waxing Covers

Full face waxing at Aesthete Beauty covers every area of the face where unwanted hair grows. Here's exactly what's included.

Upper lip. The most common area for visible facial hair. Fine or dark hair above the lip removed cleanly in one strip.

Chin. Coarser hairs on the chin that tend to be more stubborn than other facial hair. Waxing removes them from the root so regrowth takes weeks rather than the days you get with shaving.

Cheeks. Fine downy hair (peach fuzz) on the cheeks that catches the light and can interfere with foundation application. Removing it gives your skin a smoother texture and allows makeup to sit better.

Sideburns. Hair growth at the sides of the face in front of the ears. Often fine but visible, particularly in certain lighting or when hair is pulled back.

Jawline. Hair along the jawline that extends from the chin towards the ear. A common area that's easy to miss with individual treatments.

Neck. Hair below the jawline on the neck. Included in the full face treatment so there's no line where the waxing stopped and the hair starts.

The whole point of full face waxing is that nothing gets missed. Every area is addressed in one session so you leave with consistently smooth skin across your entire face.

Had a gel manicure, eyebrow threading and tinting. First class experience for all treatments and have booked again. Radina was lovely from start to finish. Would definitely recommend.

The Advantage

Why Full Face is Better Than Individual Areas

If you have facial hair across multiple zones, booking the full face treatment rather than individual areas makes more sense for several reasons.

Everything done at once. No scheduling multiple appointments. No forgetting to book your chin because you only remembered the lip. One appointment covers everything.

Consistent result. When you do areas individually across different weeks, the regrowth is at different stages. Your lip might be freshly waxed while your chin is two weeks into regrowth. Full face means everything is at the same stage. Smooth everywhere at the same time.

More cost-effective. Individual areas add up. Upper lip £14, chin £14, neck £17, side of face £15. That's £60 for four areas separately. Full face at £48 covers all of those plus cheeks and jawline. You're paying less and getting more.

Faster overall. Having Radina do the full face in one systematic session is faster than coming back multiple times for individual areas.

The Comparison

Full Face Waxing vs Full Face Threading

Both methods cover the entire face and give results lasting 4 to 6 weeks. The choice depends on your skin.

Full face waxing (£48) is faster because the wax removes multiple hairs at once in strips. It's effective on all hair types and covers large areas efficiently. Best for most skin types that tolerate wax well.

Full face threading (£48) uses no product on your skin. Just cotton thread. It's the better option if your skin is very sensitive and reacts to wax with redness, bumps, or breakouts. Threading is also more precise for fine hair.

Same price, different method. Both cost £48 for the full face. Radina offers both and will recommend based on your skin type and sensitivity. If you've never had either, she can advise which is likely to suit you better.

Is It For You?

Is Full Face Waxing Right for You?

Full face waxing is the right treatment if any of these sound familiar:

  • You have facial hair across multiple areas and want it all dealt with in one appointment
  • You've been managing different areas separately and it's time-consuming and expensive
  • You want consistent smooth skin across your entire face, not patchy results from staggered treatments
  • You're comfortable with wax and your skin doesn't react with persistent redness or breakouts
  • You want the most cost-effective option for removing facial hair from multiple zones
  • You're preparing for an event, holiday, or occasion and want your face completely smooth
  • You want a regular maintenance treatment that covers everything in under 30 minutes

If your skin is very sensitive and reacts to wax, full face threading at the same price (£48) may be a better option. Radina offers both and can advise.

If you use retinol, tretinoin, or any retinoid product on your face, stop applying it to the waxed areas for at least five to seven days before your appointment. Retinoids thin the skin and waxing over retinoid-thinned skin can tear the surface layer off. On oral Accutane? Can't wax at all. Mention any skincare products or medications when you book.

Full face waxing is available to everyone regardless of gender. Men and women both book in for facial hair removal. If you're self-conscious about facial hair and you've been putting off doing something about it, there's no judgement. Radina treats every client the same.

Aftercare

Aftercare

The aftercare for full face waxing is the same as for individual area waxing, just applied across a larger area.

First 24 hours. Avoid touching the waxed areas. No hot showers on your face, no saunas, no steam. Let the skin settle.

Makeup. Wait a few hours before applying makeup to any waxed area. Freshly waxed pores are open and applying product too soon can cause spots or irritation.

SPF. Wear SPF30 or higher if going outside. Freshly waxed skin is more sensitive to UV damage.

No exfoliation. Skip retinol, AHAs, BHAs, and exfoliating scrubs for 48 hours.

After 48 hours. Carry on as normal. Your skin will be smooth, settled, and hair-free.

With regular full face waxing every 4 to 6 weeks, the hair grows back progressively finer and sparser. Each appointment gets quicker and the regrowth becomes less noticeable between sessions.

Your Appointment

What to Expect at Your Full Face Waxing Appointment

All tools and equipment are thoroughly cleaned and hygienically prepared between every client. Fresh towels, sanitised surfaces, and a clean workspace are standard for every appointment.

The treatment follows the same process as individual area waxing, just applied systematically across the full face.

Hot wax is used for all facial waxing at Aesthete Beauty. Not strip wax. Hot wax grips the hair without pulling at the skin, which is why it causes less redness and irritation on the face. The wax is heated fresh, spatulas and applicators are single-use, and Radina wears gloves throughout. The skin is cleaned and treated with professional products before and after.

If it's your first visit, you'll get a digital consultation form by email before the appointment. It covers your health and any concerns. Returning clients don't need to fill it in again unless something has changed.

01

Consultation

Radina looks at your facial hair pattern and discusses which areas need attention. Some clients have heavier growth in certain areas and lighter in others. She'll tailor the approach to your specific needs.

02

Skin preparation

Your entire face is cleaned to remove makeup, oil, and moisturiser. Clean skin ensures the wax grips the hair properly across every area.

03

Waxing

Radina works area by area across your face. Warm Hive professional wax is applied in the direction of hair growth, then removed against it with a fabric strip. She adjusts the wax temperature and technique for each area because the skin on your upper lip is different from the skin on your cheeks, which is different from your neck. Each area gets the approach that works best for it.

04

Soothing

After each area is waxed, a calming product is applied to reduce redness and settle the skin. Once all areas are complete, a final check ensures nothing has been missed and every area is smooth.

05

Aftercare advice

Radina talks you through what to do and what to avoid for the next 24 to 48 hours. The same aftercare applies as individual waxing: avoid heat, avoid makeup on waxed areas for a few hours, wear SPF, no exfoliating products for 48 hours.

The full treatment takes approximately 20 to 30 minutes depending on the amount of hair and the areas covered.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions About Full Face Waxing in Dundee

Q

How much does full face waxing cost?

£48. This covers upper lip, chin, cheeks, sideburns, jawline, and neck in one appointment. All pricing is in the online booking system.

Q

How long does the treatment take?

20 to 30 minutes depending on the amount of hair and the areas covered.

Q

How long do the results last?

4 to 6 weeks. Hair is removed from the root, so regrowth takes a full growth cycle. With regular appointments, the hair comes back finer and sparser over time.

Q

Does full face waxing hurt?

There's a brief pulling sensation each time a strip is removed. Some areas are more sensitive than others. The upper lip tends to be the most sensitive area, while cheeks and sideburns are usually less so. Professional wax grips hair rather than skin, which reduces discomfort compared to at-home wax.

Q

Is full face waxing or threading better?

Both cost £48 and cover the full face with results lasting 4 to 6 weeks. Waxing is faster and works well for most skin types. Threading is better for very sensitive skin that reacts to wax. Radina offers both and can recommend based on your skin.

Q

Will the hair grow back thicker after waxing?

No. This is a myth. Regular waxing weakens the hair follicle over time, causing hair to grow back finer, not thicker. The stubbly regrowth people associate with thicker hair comes from shaving, not waxing.

Q

Can I get full face waxing if I have sensitive skin?

Hive professional wax is formulated for facial skin and is gentler than retail wax. However, if your skin consistently reacts to wax with redness, bumps, or breakouts, full face threading is available at the same price and uses no product on your skin at all.

Q

What should I avoid before my appointment?

Avoid retinol and chemical exfoliants for 48 hours before. Don't shave between appointments. The wax needs at least 2 to 3 weeks of hair growth to grip effectively.

Q

Is full face waxing suitable if I have PCOS?

Yes. PCOS often causes thicker, darker facial hair growth across the chin, jawline, and cheeks. Full face waxing removes it all in one appointment. Because PCOS hair tends to grow back faster, you may need to book more frequently. Every four weeks is a good starting point. Radina understands that PCOS facial hair is a sensitive subject and the treatment is handled with discretion.

Q

Is full face waxing or dermaplaning better?

They do different things. Waxing removes hair from the root so regrowth takes 4 to 6 weeks. Dermaplaning shaves at the surface and exfoliates but needs repeating every 3 to 4 weeks. If your main concern is removing hair for the longest possible time, waxing wins. Aesthete Beauty offers waxing and threading but not dermaplaning.

Q

Can men get full face waxing?

Yes. Facial waxing isn't gendered. The treatment is the same regardless of who's sitting in the chair. Book online or call.
