Your skin has a problem that moisturiser can't fix. Maybe it's acne scarring that's been there for years, textured and visible in every photo. Maybe it's pigmentation that appeared after pregnancy or too many summers without SPF and won't fade no matter what you put on it. Maybe it's fine lines and a loss of firmness that crept up gradually and now bother you every time you catch yourself in a mirror.
You've tried the serums. You've tried retinol from Boots. You've tried vitamin C, niacinamide, hyaluronic acid. Some of it helped a bit. None of it fixed the actual problem. Because the problem isn't on the surface. It's deeper, in the skin's structure, and it needs a clinical intervention rather than another product sitting on top hoping to soak in.
At Aesthete Beauty in Dundee, the Skin Care Clinic offers CLINICCARE chemical peels and professional micro-needling. These are clinical skin treatments that work below the surface to trigger your skin's own repair mechanisms. Collagen production. Cell turnover. Pigmentation reduction. Not cosmetic cover-ups. Structural changes that improve your skin from within. Carried out by Radina Ignatova, a qualified skin treatment practitioner with over 11 years of experience and training in chemical peels and micro-needling. Skin peels from £84. Micro-needling from £99. Book online any time or call us on 01382 217888.
Aesthete Beauty's Skin Care Clinic offers four services, from clinical treatments that change your skin's structure to consultations that help you decide what's right for you.
A professional chemical peel that removes the upper layers of dead skin and triggers cell renewal underneath. CLINICCARE offers three different peel formulations, each targeting different skin concerns.
Pure/BHA Peel (£84). Uses salicylic acid at 20% concentration. Salicylic acid is oil-soluble, which means it penetrates into pores and dissolves the sebum and debris that causes congestion and breakouts. It also has anti-inflammatory and antiseptic properties, making it suitable for acne-prone skin and even sensitive conditions like rosacea. This is the peel for oily, congested, or acne-affected skin.
Glow/AHA Peel (£84). Uses glycolic acid at 28% concentration, the smallest and most effective alpha hydroxy acid. It inhibits melanin synthesis, which means it actively works to reduce pigmentation, dark spots, and uneven skin tone. It also brightens the overall complexion and is safe to use on darker skin tones. This is the peel for pigmentation, dullness, and uneven tone.
Refresh/AHA Peel (£84). A superficial chemical peel that removes the upper layers of the epidermis and stimulates collagen synthesis. It strengthens the skin while renewing the surface. This is the peel for ageing concerns, fine lines, loss of firmness, and rough texture.
All three peels use CLINICCARE professional-grade acids at concentrations that are not available over the counter. These are not the mild AHA or BHA products you buy in Boots. They're professional formulations applied by a trained practitioner who controls the application, timing, and neutralisation.
Micro-needling, also known as collagen induction therapy, uses a professional device fitted with fine needles to create controlled micro-injuries in the skin. These tiny punctures trigger your skin's natural wound healing response, which produces new collagen and elastin. The result is skin that's firmer, smoother, and more even in texture and tone.
This isn't a surface treatment. The needles penetrate into the dermis, the layer of skin where collagen is produced and where structural changes actually happen. The controlled damage tells your body to repair and rebuild, and the new collagen that forms is denser and stronger than what was there before.
Micro-needling treats acne scarring, fine lines and wrinkles, pigmentation, enlarged pores, uneven skin texture, and loss of firmness. Results build over multiple sessions, with most clients seeing visible improvement after 3 to 6 treatments spaced 3 to 4 weeks apart.
Facial micro-needling from £99. Facial and neck from £109.
Not sure which treatment is right for your skin? Book a skin consultation first. Radina will examine your skin under proper lighting, discuss your concerns and goals, assess your skin type and condition, and recommend the right treatment plan.
The consultation takes around 20 minutes and costs £10. If you proceed with a treatment, the £10 is deducted from the cost of your first session. It's an investment in getting the right treatment rather than guessing.
A consultation is particularly valuable if you've never had clinical skin treatments before, if you have multiple concerns and aren't sure which to prioritise, or if you have sensitive skin and want professional advice before committing to a peel or micro-needling.
A patch test is required before your first CLINICCARE skin peel. A small amount of the peel product is applied to a discrete area of skin to check for any adverse reaction. The test takes 10 minutes and must be done at least 48 hours before your treatment appointment.
Patch tests are free and can be booked through the online system. You only need to do this once for each type of product unless there's been a gap of more than 6 months since your last treatment.
Enjoyed my chemical face peel and felt l really noticed the difference in my skin. The beautician Radina is a lovely young lady and the surroundings reflect the treatment being given. A very bright modern salon - l would highly recommend
There's a reason your bathroom shelf full of serums hasn't fixed your skin. Over-the-counter products are formulated at low concentrations because they're designed for unsupervised home use. They can maintain, moisturise, and mildly improve. They can't trigger the biological responses that actually change your skin's structure.
Clinical skin treatments work differently.
Chemical peels use professional-grade acids. The CLINICCARE peels used at Aesthete Beauty contain active acids at 20 to 28% concentration. The AHA exfoliant you buy in a shop might contain 5 to 10%. The professional concentration is what allows the peel to penetrate deep enough to trigger real cell turnover and collagen stimulation rather than just dissolving a thin layer of dead cells on the surface.
Micro-needling triggers a wound healing response. When the needles create controlled micro-injuries in the dermis, your body responds by flooding the area with growth factors, producing new collagen and elastin, and forming new blood vessels. This is a biological healing process that continues for weeks after the treatment. No topical product can trigger this response because no topical product can reach the dermis in the way that needles can.
Results are cumulative and structural. A facial makes your skin look better for a few days. A clinical skin treatment changes the structure of your skin over weeks and months. Each peel or micro-needling session builds on the previous one. Collagen production increases progressively. Scarring fills in gradually. Pigmentation fades with each treatment. The changes are in the skin itself, not on top of it.
A very professional service. Excellent facilities and I will be going back
The Skin Care Clinic is for you if any of these sound familiar:
If you're not sure whether a peel or micro-needling is right for you, book a Skin Consultation (£10) first. Radina will assess your skin and recommend the right approach. The consultation fee is deducted from your first treatment.
Qualified practitioner. Radina is trained and qualified in CLINICCARE chemical peels and professional micro-needling. She's been performing these treatments for years and understands how different skin types respond to different protocols.
CLINICCARE professional range. The peels and products used are from CLINICCARE, a Swedish cosmeceutical brand formulated for professional clinical use. These are not diluted retail products. They're professional-strength formulations supplied to qualified practitioners.
Proper consultation process. Radina doesn't guess. She assesses your skin, discusses your concerns, and recommends the right treatment. If a peel isn't right for your skin, she'll tell you. If micro-needling is better suited to your concern, she'll explain why. The goal is the right treatment for your skin, not the most expensive one.
One practitioner, consistent care. Radina carries out every treatment herself. She knows your skin history, how you responded to previous treatments, and what adjustments to make each session. You don't get passed between different staff. That continuity produces better results because each treatment builds on the last with full knowledge of what came before.
Award-winning salon. Corporate Vision Global Business Awards 2024: Best Beauty and Nail Salon in Scotland. SNBLA 2025 Finalist. Clean, professional environment in Dundee city centre.
Aesthete Beauty is a salon offering professional clinical skin treatments. It isn't a dermatology clinic. The CLINICCARE peels and micro-needling treat cosmetic skin concerns like texture, pigmentation, fine lines, congestion, and acne scarring. If you have a medical skin condition that needs diagnosis or prescription treatment, your GP or a dermatologist is the right starting point. Radina will tell you if what you're asking for is beyond the scope of what the salon can safely treat. She'd rather refer you on than take your money for something that won't help.
All tools and equipment are thoroughly cleaned and hygienically prepared between every client. Fresh towels, sanitised surfaces, and a clean workspace are standard for every appointment.
Every clinical skin treatment at Aesthete Beauty follows a careful, structured process. Here is what to expect.
Clinical skin treatments involve active ingredients applied directly to your face, so hygiene during the process is non-negotiable. Fresh disposable applicators, gauze, and cloths for every client, micro-needling cartridges single-use and sealed until the moment of treatment, all reusable tools sterilised between appointments, Radina in gloves throughout. The treatment room is separate from the nail area and stays clean and controlled for the duration.
You'll get a digital consultation form by email before your first skin treatment. It covers your skin history, current routine, medications including retinol and antibiotics, any diagnosed skin conditions, and what you want the treatment to address. Radina reads it before you arrive. The in-person assessment still happens but the form means she already knows your background.
New clients start with a skin consultation (£10, deducted from your first treatment) or a patch test (free) depending on the treatment. This ensures the treatment is safe and suitable for your skin.
Before each treatment, Radina assesses your skin condition on the day. Your skin changes between appointments, so she checks how it has responded since your last treatment and adjusts accordingly.
Your skin is cleansed and prepped for the treatment. For peels, this means removing all oils and residue so the peel solution makes proper contact. For micro-needling, a numbing cream is applied.
The treatment is carried out precisely. Radina monitors your skin throughout, adjusting timing and intensity based on how your skin responds. Nothing is generic or one-size-fits-all.
Soothing and protective products are applied. Radina gives you detailed aftercare instructions covering what to avoid, what to use, and when your skin will settle. She recommends the timing for your next session.
Three CLINICCARE chemical peels (Pure/BHA for acne, Glow/AHA for pigmentation, Refresh/AHA for ageing), professional micro-needling (facial or facial and neck), skin consultations, and patch tests.
Skin Peels £84 each. Micro-needling facial £99, facial and neck £109. Skin Consultation £10 (deducted from first treatment). Patch Test free. All pricing is in the online booking system.
It's recommended, especially if you've never had clinical skin treatments before or you're not sure which treatment suits your concern. The consultation is £10 and is deducted from your first treatment cost.
Pure/BHA for acne, congestion, and oily skin. Glow/AHA for pigmentation, dark spots, and dullness. Refresh/AHA for fine lines, firmness, and texture. Radina will recommend during your consultation or at the start of your appointment.
Most clients see visible improvement after 3 to 6 sessions, spaced 3 to 4 weeks apart. The number depends on the concern being treated. Acne scarring typically needs more sessions than general texture improvement. Radina will give you a realistic treatment plan.
Skin peels may cause mild redness and flaking for 2 to 3 days as the old skin sheds. Micro-needling causes redness similar to mild sunburn for 24 to 48 hours. Neither requires time off work. Avoid direct sun, makeup, and active skincare products for 24 to 48 hours after either treatment.
Yes, before your first CLINICCARE peel. The patch test is free and takes 10 minutes. Book it through the online system at least 48 hours before your treatment appointment.
Yes, but not on the same day as a peel or micro-needling. Your skin needs time to recover after clinical treatments. Book nails, lashes, or other services for a separate appointment.
A dermatologist is a medical doctor who diagnoses and treats skin diseases, prescribes medication, and handles conditions like eczema, psoriasis, and skin cancer. Aesthete Beauty's skin clinic treats cosmetic skin concerns using professional-grade chemical peels and micro-needling. If your concern is texture, pigmentation, scarring, congestion, or signs of ageing, the skin clinic can help. If you need a diagnosis or a prescription, you need a dermatologist. Radina will refer you if your skin needs medical attention rather than cosmetic treatment.
A consultation or patch test is required before your first skin peel or micro-needling appointment. The consultation costs £10 and that amount gets deducted from your first treatment. The patch test is free. Both are there to make sure the treatment is safe for your skin and to give Radina a proper look at what she's working with before she starts.
Chemical peels and micro-needling are generally not recommended during pregnancy. The active ingredients in peels and the wound-healing response triggered by micro-needling involve biological processes that are best avoided while pregnant. If you're pregnant or trying to conceive, Radina will discuss which treatments are safe and which should wait. The CLINICCARE facial is a safer alternative during pregnancy because it doesn't involve chemical peels or skin puncturing.
